Management
Challenger Management Services Limited (CMSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Challenger, provides management services to both CIF1 and CIF2 under a long term Management Agreement. In discharging its responsibility under the Management Agreement CMSL has drawn from the skills and resources of Challenger and has put together a cohesive, outcome-oriented management team for CIF which combines strong financial market expertise with the operational experience to manage the CIF portfolio of assets effectively.

Emil Pahljina
Chief Executive
Emil was appointed Chief Executive in March 2010. Emil joined Challenger in April 2006, responsible for the origination and management of alternative infrastructure assets for Challenger. He has been involved in a number of acquisitions including CIF's €565 million acquisition of LBC storage terminals. Most recently Emil was Investment Director of LBC.
Prior to joining Challenger, Emil was the Head of Principal Acquisitions and Investments for Westpac's Fund Management Group. Emil has a Bachelor of Economics (Monash) and an LLB (University of Melbourne).
