How does it work?

 

You can apply online in under 15 minutes if you’re 18 years or older and are applying as an individual or jointly with another person.

  1. Choose your investment amount
    The minimum investment amount is $10,000 and you can only invest non-superannuation monies.
  2. Choose your term
    Choose a term of 1 to 5 years.
  3. Choose your payment frequency
    You’ll receive regular income payments. You can choose monthly payments or yearly payments for terms longer than one year. (Annualised payments are not available for one year terms).
  4. Your original investment is returned at the end of the investment period
    100% of the original investment you used to start your Fixed Term Direct annuity will be returned to you at the end of your investment period.

The rate for a Challenger Guaranteed Annuity (Fixed Term) is fixed for the term of your clients' investment. Choose from a term of one year up to 50 years1, with a minimum investment of $10,000. Annualised payments are not available for one-year terms.

 

1For investments made with superannuation money and where the residual capital value is selected is zero, super rules restrict the maximum term that can be selected to the number of whole years until the investor turns age 100.
