Guaranteed Allocated Pension

The Challenger Guaranteed Allocated Pension is an account-based pension that can provide your clients with the certainty of a guaranteed rate of return for a chosen timeframe whilst receiving a regular income as part of their retirement strategy.

Your clients can choose to invest their superannuation savings in fixed rate or cash options that provide them with a stable investment return, while drawing regular pension payments from their account.

About the Challenger Guaranteed Allocated Pension

Challenger Guaranteed Allocated Pension has been designed as a simple and low risk way for your clients to convert their superannuation savings into secure and regular payments when they are transitioning to, or in, retirement. It offers two investment options:

  • Guaranteed Fixed Rate - The fixed rate option offers a guaranteed rate of return on your client’s investment for terms of between one and ten years. The earnings rate is fixed at the time of investment providing your client with market and capital protection.
  • Guaranteed Cash - The cash option offers a guaranteed earning rate that is set at the start of the week and remains fixed for that week, giving your client flexibility to switch all or part of their investment to a fixed rate option at any time.

The Challenger Guaranteed Allocated Pension can help your clients manage market volatility by providing a guaranteed rate of return on their investment. It can be commenced using superannuation contributions and rollovers of existing superannuation benefits. Your clients can invest in multiple options, subject to a minimum investment of $10,000 per option.
